Social Media & Anxiety: Instagram vs Real Life
Social media can be overwhelming. We all have one friend or someone we follow online that has the perfect life, with the perfect house, dog, meals, and perfect photos. The life we see and share on Instagram or social media is merely a curated version of the person we are day-to-day. It can be hard to differentials the Instagram version from the real human behind the account. Social media is causing anxiety and increasing mental health in people of all ages. In this presentation, Casie shares personal stories about living on the internet and documenting the last decade of her life while maintaining an online persona.
