National Speakers Bureau is proud to present these exceptional Canadian leaders for your next event:
Phil Fontaine – A natural born leader, Fontaine has been fighting for the rights of Canada’s indigenous people since he was 28 years old. Described by many as a dominant force, he is lauded for his negotiation and leadership skills. Fontaine served three terms as National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations and successfully negotiated a $5.6 billion Residential School Settlement Agreement.
Zain Meghji – A “jack of all trades,” there’s nothing Meghji hasn’t tried in the entertainment industry. Between acting, producing and directing as well as reporting for Canada’s number one entertainment show, eTALK, Meghji has made a name for himself across the country. Meghji will now host the highly anticipated Canadian version of How to Look Good Naked and can be seen on this month’s Toronto International Film Festival Red Carpet. Choose this star to host or MC your next event.
David Dingwall – A lawyer by training and a politician at heart, Dingwall has been a key Canadian influencer since the early 1980s when he was first elected to the House of Commons as a Nova Scotia MP. Re-elected three times, this East Coaster was appointed Minister of Health in 1996 and just a year later introduced and passed the highly regarded Tobacco Control Act. Today, Dingwall works closely with corporate clients to identify goals and achieve objectives.
Heather Hiscox – She’s the energetic host of CBC’s flagship morning television news program, CBC News: Morning. This engaging and intelligent woman has been broadcasting since she was 17. Since then Hiscox has covered major news stories including the 2004 U.S. election, the Terri Schiavo right-to-die story and the 2005 Liberal sponsorship scandal.
Bruice Lourie – An expert in toxic substances, Lourie is the bestselling author of Slow Death by Rubber Duck, a book that explores pollution today. In fact, Lourie reveals that pollution is much more than a few smokestacks and that “living daily life can create a chemical soup inside us all.”
Kevin O’Leary – You know him as the outspoken judge on CBC’s hit show Dragons’ Den, and on the US version of the show, Shark Tank. This fall you’ll also see him as co-anchor with Amanda Lang on CBC Newsworld’s The Lang and O’Leary Exchange. Just one idea, a little hard work and a whole lot of determination is what it took for O’Leary to become a billionaire. Working from his basement he started a company – SoftKey Software Products – to help his kids learn how to read. Just a few years later in 1999, O’Leary sold the company for a staggering $3.7 billion! Learn from this Canadian entrepreneurial mastermind.
