John Manley appointed president and CEO of Canadian Council of Chief Executives
The Honourable John Manley, one of Canada’s most highly regarded Parliamentarians, will be the new president and CEO of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives. He is assuming his new role effective Jan. 1, 2010.
Manley has held our country’s most powerful cabinet position as Finance Minister, and has been recognized for his work as Foreign Affairs Minister following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. In 2001, he was named TIME Canada Magazine’s Newsmaker of the Year.
The Canadian Council of Chief Executives is a not-for-profit and non-partisan organization composed of 150 chief executives and entrepreneurs heading Canada’s leading enterprises. Manley also serves on the boards of several publicly-traded companies and is active in the not-for-profit sector.
