In 1970, Sue Johanson opened the first birth control clinic in a North American high school.

A registered nurse, she began teaching sex education to high school students and now speaks to more than 20,000 students in public schools, high schools, colleges and universities across Canada and the US.

Johanson hosted The Sunday Night Sex Show, a call-in advice show broadcast on the Women's Television Network across Canada for more than 12 years, and hosted the US Network Oxygen's most-popular late-night show Talk Sex for the past six seasons.

She is an Order of Canada recipient and an eight-time Campus Speaker of the Year winner.

Johanson is a frequent guest of the Late Show with David Lettermanhas appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, as well as being interviewed on numerous shows including The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos, and CBC's Steven and Chris. Johanson has also been featured on eTalk and MuchMusic's Much on Demand, and in Oprah's O Magazine
