Peak Oil & the Future of Energy
Worzel outlines how organizations can capture and harness the uncertainties in tomorrow’s energy equations, and turn them to competitive advantage
What to do When the Future Looks Grim
Maybe that light at the end of the tunnel is the end of the recession, or maybe it’s a freight train coming your way. Either way, standing frozen in one spot by indecision won’t help, and may be devastating. In this presentation, Worzel addresses the problems of this economy and how to take advantage of the problems ahead.
Grabbing Change by the Horns: Will Transformation Mean Evolution, Revolution, or Annihilation?
In this presentation, you will walk away with a roadmap of tomorrow's world, one that will help you make the unavoidable transformations ahead be constructive rather than detrimental.
The Next Fifty Years in Investing: How to Avoid Making Dangerous Decisions in a Crisis
In this long-term overview, Richard points out what's important, as opposed to what's urgent.
The Future of Food: Not Just for Body Fuel and Fun Anymore
Today, the idea of food as medicine, functional foods, and nutriceuticals is being accepted and assimilated into popular culture. People buy blueberries and drink tea because they’re supposed to contain anti-oxidants, and even when they don’t know what anti-oxidants are, they know that they’re supposed to be good for you. Sometimes this interest in food as more than fuel for the body goes off into blind alleys.
Green Without Guilt: Social Responsibility that Pays
At the end of the 20th Century, public interest in environmental issues was on the wane. Today, public opinion is well past the tipping point, and despite the economic chaos, organizations are scrambling to catch up. What this means is that leading the field in green issues can be both a strategic and a tactical competitive advantage in tomorrow's business world.
Critical Care: The Future of Local Pharmacies in Today’s Economy
In this presentation, he will provide a road map of the future for the local pharmacy/retailer.
RAVE REVIEWS ARE ONLY THE BEGINNING...
“The only things we could have done better would have been to invite Richard to speak to our people sooner!”
– Standard Life
You want someone who can not only excite and inspire the people at your event, but help them make more money and perform well tomorrow while doing so – to deliver the steak along with the sizzle, in other words. And whether it’s a keynote with take-aways they’ll use immediately, a workshop that will help bring them together as a team, or an executive briefing that brings clarity to chaos, I’ve been there and done that for folks like 3Com (“…you were once again able to exceed our expectations for this important planning session…”), IBM, Ford (“Thank you for the exceptional presentations you made to our dealers”), Deloitte, the Global Congress on Industrial Biotechnology (“It’s almost unheard of for a speaker to take such pains, and we appreciated it.”), Johnson & Johnson (“The audience is absolutely captivated!”), and many others.
And, unlike other speakers, you not only get to see the draft of my remarks beforehand, but we work together on the final version to make sure it hits as close to the center of the bulls-eye as possible. That way you’ll be comfortable that we’re going to achieve the best possible result when I appear before your people.
LET ME PROVIDE YOU WITH SOME EVIDENCE
Before I started consulting and speaking as a professional futurist, I worked in the investment business as an institutional investor, and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (which The Economist recently called the global standard for post-graduate degrees in finance). Because of that background, I know that talk is cheap, but evidence is critical. That being so, let me provide you with some evidence:
First, see and hear for yourself: I have several video clips of past presentations available on this page, or you can email the agency and ask for a DVD with more, including half an hour of a full hour keynote.
Next, I have over 10 years of testimonials from conference organizers who have put down hard cash to hire me to speak to their people. They talk about how I’ve inspired, amused, engaged, intrigued, entertained, and informed their audiences – and how easy I am to work with, and the depth of my customization. A selection of these testimonials is also available here.
Or, you can read through the descriptions of presentations I’ve made for clients in the past few years, descriptions I’ve usually written specifically for a particular event. The future is my field of study, which means I’m not a specialist on a single subject, but instead a generalist with a broad knowledge of a wide range of fields. I use this background to create a big picture of what’s going on around your organization now and in future, tie all the lose ends together, and provide new information and insights that makes the presentation both intriguing and useful to your conferees.
Finally, you can interview me yourself to see if I have the knowledge and background – the straight goods – you need to intrigue, inspire, and engage the people at your event. I understand that you need to know you’ve got the right speaker, and if I’m not that guy, I’ll tell you. Like you, I’m only interested in being involved in a successful event – not one that comes back to haunt me. There’s no obligation, so feel free to call the agency and tell them you’d like to interview me.
HELP ME HELP YOU!
Let’s face it – you know more about your organization and people than I do. And you know more about your industry and how it has changed than I do, because that’s where you’ve spent your working life while I’ve spent mine studying the future. Working together, though, we can create a stronger experience for your people than either of us can alone.
For almost 20 years I’ve done this with pharmaceutical companies, technology companies, credit unions, banks, agribusiness groups, financial advisors, life science researchers and investors, alternative fuel and energy groups, government agencies, medical groups, manufacturers – and lots of others besides.
But what’s important is that we can do it for your people, and create a unique, upbeat, candid, and useful presentation, outlined, designed, and fine-tuned specifically for your people. Contact me through the agency to find out what kind of interactive future experience we can create for your conference, off-site brainstorming session, strategic planning process, or client appreciation event.
I’d appreciate the chance to talk with you about your needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest personal regards,
Richard Worzel, C.F.A.
