Summary Profile

Dr. Hanson is a motivational speaker who inspires audiences to achieve superior results in spite of today's high levels of stress. He began speaking at the age of 14, doing comedy monologues on live television three nights a week, and speaking to convention audiences. While his talks now have a compelling message, his audiences still enjoy much laughter as well as learning. He has done keynote and workshop presentations to most of the Fortune 500 companies on three continents, and has spoken to hundreds of professional and government audiences. His book, "The Joy of Stress", has sold over a million copies in twenty languages, followed by his other bestsellers, Stress for Success and Counterattack. His professional background gives him unique credibility for today's audiences. Graduating at the age of 24 from the University of Toronto Medical School, he worked for two years as an Emergency Room physician, then opened his own practice which soon grew to over 4,000 patients. As the youngest team doctor in professional sports, with the Toronto Argonaut football team, he saw the effects of stress on top athletes. He used these experiences as the basis for his books, and for his subsequent syndicated radio and newspaper features.
