Pat Mastroianni began acting with what he thought was a summer job on a new series, Degrassi Junior High. An unprecedented hit, the Canadian series captured the hearts and minds of his generation and became an international phenomenon.

Degrassi explored the complex lives of young teenagers in the 1980s, catapulting Mastroianni into the limelight as one of the world's most famous television characters, Joey Jeremiah.
