Ian Portsmouth is the Editor and Associate Publisher of PROFIT, Canada's best-read publication for entrepreneurial business. In 2008, the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors named PROFIT the Magazine of the Year in the mid-circulation category.

Portsmouth is also the host of the BMO Business Coach podcast, a twice-monthly series that tackles the top opportunities and issues facing Canadian entrepreneurs.

This year, Portsmouth conceived the Canada Export Achievement Awards, a joint venture of PROFIT and Export Development Canada that will recognize its inaugural winners in November. Recognized on multiple occasions for his excellence in business writing, he is a three-time finalist of the National Magazine Awards and his book, Marketing Masters: The Best Ideas of Canada's Savviest Marketeers, was published in 1998 by John Wiley & Sons.

Portsmouth is a trusted media commentator and public speaker on the management issues and best practices of Canadian growth companies, and is a passionate supporter of Canadian entrepreneurship. Apart from leading PROFIT's coverage and events for business owners, he sits on the board of directors of the Innovators Alliance, an association for the CEOs of Ontario-based growth companies and is an advisor to the Impact Entrepreneurship Group, Canada's largest student-run entrepreneurship organization.
