Bill Carr is a humorist and an award-winning writer, stage actor and journalist. Born in Atlantic Canada he is famous with convention audiences for his offbeat characters and custom-tailored performances. Bill's insightful perspective on the world takes aim at politics, people, business, sport and systems, as well as the mundane absurdities of life that often go unnoticed. He leaves nothing unscathed and prides himself on being slave to all, mastered by none.

Through consultations with meeting organizers, Carr will create a character who will best fit with each client's particular needs. It could be "The Right Rev. User Page", a zany evangelist of the Gospel of Free Enterprise, or it could be "Orville", the world-wise janitor whose facts aren't always straight but whose warped perspective adds insight to any gathering.

Change can be exhausting and unless properly handled can cause major fatigue in people and in their organizations. Carr's new workshop and keynote, ACTING UP!, shows how recreating, reinventing, restoring and renewing our performance through the change can relieve change fatigue. It can add new vigor and can develop a new sense of purpose. Carr uses the change phenomena to turn apprehension, fear and fatigue into excitement, positive attitudes, new enthusiasm and success.

Carr's specialty is adapting his presentation to the specific theme of the organization. He does extensive research and meets with the client in advance; either in person or over the phone, in order to further personalize his approach and provide a tailor-made performance designed for each individual group he speaks to.
