Speaker Biography
Danny Hooper is enjoying a remarkable ride. Born in Edmonton, Canada and raised on a cattle ranch near the tiny hamlet of Tomahawk, Alberta, Danny knew at an early age that his passion was in the entertainment world. In the decades since, he has parlayed his unique personality and off-beat sense of humour into an award-winning career and thousands of on-stage performances as a recording artist, keynote speaker, award-winning media personality, comedic emcee, and celebrity fundraising auctioneer.
Danny singlehandedly puts the “master” in Master of Ceremonies. With several thousand live performances behind him, he possesses a deep reservoir of experience, uncompromising professionalism, and a razor-sharp wit. From conventions to corporate functions, and fundraisers to rodeos, Danny has seen it all, and understands and delivers all the components that go into the making of a truly special event.
After the Stockyard closed in the major recession of the early 80’s, Danny turned to real estate where he attained quick success; he was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame (recognizing commission earning of $1,000,000) in just 3½ years, and was named Realtor of the Year in 1991. As a result of these outstanding achievements, he was invited by RE/MAX to conduct motivational speaking engagements and training seminars across North America.
We learn through the art of storytelling, and who better to teach the Success Principles than master storyteller Danny? He honed his skill for storytelling during a 7-year stint as co-host of the 790 CFCW Morning Show (a run that earned he and co-host Sharon Mallon the CCMA Radio Personalities of the Year – Major Market) and a 5-year tenure as a weekly humour columnist in the Edmonton SUN.
