Winter Olympians - Canadian Olympic Spirit

This winter, Canadians are coming together demonstrating their patriotism and true Olympic spirit! After 22 years, the Winter Olympics are returning to Canada. More than 5,000 athletes, representing 80 countries will gather in Vancouver and Whistler next month to celebrate winter sporting excellence. The National Speakers Bureau offers an outstanding slate of athletes who capture the sprit of the Games and teach us what it takes to be the best in the world. Consider these top Winter Olympians at your next event to inject a little Olympic spirit:
 

Cassie CampbellCassie Campbell - Winter Olympic Women's Hockey Gold Medalist
She proved to the world that she was the ultimate captain when she led the women's Canadian ice hockey team to a victorious gold medal win in 2002 - Canada's first in hockey in 50 years. Her focus on teamwork shines through when she speaks about her team and those who "didn't stop believing in one another."

Clara HughesClara Hughes - Summer & Winter Olympic Medalist
The only Canadian to win medals at both the Summer & Winter Olympics. She first competed on the Olympic stage in the Summer Games as a cyclist, where she won two bronze medals. Hughes then returned to her first sporting love - speed skating, where she was able to win gold at the 2006 Games in Torino.

 

Catriona Le May DoanCatriona Le May Doan - The Fastest Woman on Ice
LeMay Doan knows how to win. This champion speed skater has broken the world record eight times, and is the first Canadian ever to defend a gold medal at any Olympic Games.

 

 

Hayley WickenheiserHayley Wickenheiser - Olympic Gold Medalist for Hockey
Wickenheiser skated into history in 2003 as the first female player to score a point in a men's professional game with the Finnish hockey league. The achievement came shortly after Wickenheiser led Team Canada to a gold medal victory in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, where she was the leading scorer and tournament MVP. 

 

Marc GagnonMarc Gagnon - The Most Decorated Canadian Athlete in the Olympic Winter Games' History
Gagnon has won every major title in short track speed skating. He is a four-time World Cup overall champion, savouring Olympic glory in 1998 and 2002. With an irreverent personality, laid-back attitude Marc talks about teamwork, personal motivation, and fulfilling your dreams.
 
 

Daniele SauvageauDanièle Sauvageau - Speaker and Mentor - Athletic and Executive Coaching
Sauvageau's passion, instinct and leadership were instrumental in the historic win by the Canadian women's hockey team at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. As general manager and coach, she transformed a fear of losing into an absolute desire for victory, a radical turnaround that enabled her players to achieve their Olympic dream.
