November 16, 2009As one of the first interactive leaders in Canada's music industry, Jennifer Hollett continues to be a digital innovator in her new role as a social media commentator with CBC TV's Connect with Mark Kelley. Best known for her work as a VJ and videographer with MuchMusic, and as the host of CTV's Talk TV, Hollett has regularly leverage technology and online channels for the betterment of society.Called the voice of her generation, she helped shape Canada's digital landscape from the beginning. This webgirl has been online since 1994, created her first website in 1994, and started blogging before it was actually called blogging. Most recently, she managed e-communications and developed a social media strategy for Plan Canada, an international development organization.
Hollett’s new media career started with Sony Music Canada, where she was the manager of new media during the height of the digital music revolution. As the youngest manager in the company’s history, The Globe and Mail chose her for its 133 Young Leaders List in 2000.
