Uncovering Hip Hop Culture with Dalton Higgins

For many of us, Hip Hop is a popular style of music played on radio stations across North America. But, for Dalton Higgins, it’s a window into the lives of people around the world. Known as Canada’s Hip Hop expert, Higgins has been studying and writing about this youth sub-culture for many years. His passion to uncover and understand Hip Hop culture has taken him to Europe, Asia and even Africa, where the music is used by younger generations as a political tool to mobilize communities around hard issues.
