When four friends in their 20s set off on a three-month, non-profit marathon across Canada to commit as many random acts of kindness as they could, they had no idea what they were starting.
Seven years later the "Kindness Crew" are still making an impression, teaming up with coffee giant, Maxwell House, to launch a campaign that encourages the public to "brew some good."
Maxwell House has since taken the lead by committing to use the majority of its marketing budget towards charity rather than producing expensive ads. It's also encouraged the public to nominate worthy individuals and organizations to receive donations from Maxwell House so they can keep up their good deeds.
In the spirit of the campaign, NSB wants to hear what random acts of kindness have been done for or by you! It could be something as simple as a stranger buying a coffee for you in line. Whatever it is, tell us your story and how the kind act impacted you, and we'll post it on our website. The best stories will win an e-book copy of the kindness crew's book, Cool to be Kind: Random Acts and How to Commit Them.
