Kirstine Layfield: Changing the Way Canadians Watch TV

October 30, 2008

Canadians can now anticipate the return of their favourite Canadian TV series' - and that's all thanks to one woman. The CBC's Kirstine Layfield has been hard at work since she joined the public broadcaster in 2006 as executive director of network broadcasting, and now all that hard work is paying off. With successful returning shows like The Border and Little Mosque on the Prairie, Layfield has changed the way Canadians watch TV. So, forget US television programming this fall because the CBC is offering home-grown hits that stick.

Layfield was recently in Vancouver talking to the Women's Executive Network about how to Seize the Opportunity. NSB account executives Christy de Couto and Sarah Howes attended the inspiring and candid breakfast.
