Me to We Day Inspires more than 8,000 Students & Teachers

October 22, 2008

Brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger pulled off another highly successful National Me to We Day, this time spread across two Canadian cities, Toronto and Hamilton. The event brought 8,000 screaming teens from schools all across Canada under one roof for a day filled with excitement, energy and inspiration. The event was both a rock concert and a motivational platform with a long list of presenters.

Musical performances included Sarah McLachlan and Crash Parallel. While in Hamilton, audiences were captivated by Olympian Mark Tewksbury and astronaut Dave Williams. NSB staff members attended both events, and were proud to see their speakers, Mulroney, Tewksbury and Williams touch so many lives.

National Me to We Day is organized by Free The Children, the world's largest network of children helping children through education, founded by Craig and Marc Kielburger. Next year the event will take place in two Canadian cities, Vancouver and Toronto. The Vancouver event will include a keynote speech by the Dalai Lama.
